Spiculus Gladius

This epic gladius has been designed to be true to the period, but worthy of a champion (a plain gladius was the sword carried by all rank-and-file legionnaires). The tapered blade is large, but despite this, this gladius still feels light for agile movement in the hand. 

The scabbard is wooden and wrapped with reddish-brown stained leather, finished with gold-plated fittings featuring an image of a lion. The pommel of the sword is a deep stained wood, capped with a gold-plated leaf overlay, sitting in contrast to the faux bone grip. Overall this is a outstanding sword, and would make a fantastic addition to any collection.
